About the Graduate Risk Internship

This 12-month internship is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain real-world experience in safety, health, environment, and risk management. Interns will support SHEQ operations, conduct safety audits, and contribute to compliance processes that reduce workplace risks and improve employee safety.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

Applicants must hold one of the following:

  • Advanced Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety
  • Advanced Diploma in Risk Management or Safety Management

Experience & Skills Requirements

  • Knowledge of SHE legislation (OHS, Environmental, Food Safety)
  • NEBOSH certification (advantageous)
  • Environmental course (advantageous)
  • Understanding of business policies and procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Innovation and continuous improvement mindset
  • Willingness to work a 6-day week and overtime as required

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement SHEQ policies and programmes
  • Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventative measures
  • Lead employee safety training and workshops
  • Review and improve safety policies
  • Ensure compliance with OHS and food safety regulations
  • Prepare reports on incidents and violations
  • Work with HR to implement a safety onboarding process
  • Oversee workplace repairs, installations, and hazard prevention measures
