The Inkomati-Usuthu Catchment Management Agency (IUCMA) is inviting applications for its 24-month Graduate Internship Programme, based in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. This programme is designed to provide practical, work-based experience to unemployed graduates in fields relevant to water resources management and public sector administration. Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend.Key eligibility criteria require applicants to be South African citizens, 35 years or younger, and unemployed graduates with a relevant qualification and a minimum of 60% average in their final year. Applicants must not have participated in any prior internship programme.Applications must be submitted by 16:00 on 20 June 2025. The required documents include a completed application form, a detailed CV, and certified copies of ID, qualifications, and academic records. Applications are to be posted or hand-delivered to the IUCMA Head Office; no emailed or faxed submissions will be accepted.

About the IUCMA Graduate Internship Programme

This is a 24-month internship programme designed to offer practical, work-based experience to unemployed graduates in various fields relevant to water resources and public sector administration. Interns will receive a monthly stipend in line with IUCMA’s policy.

  • Not have previously participated in any internship programme
  • Be willing to undergo personnel suitability checks

  • Completed Graduate Development Programme Application Form (available at www.iucma.co.za or at IUCMA offices in Nelspruit, Bushbuckridge, and Piet Retief)
  • Detailed CV with at least 3 contactable references
  • Certified copies of IDdriver’s license, and qualifications
  • Academic record (endorsed, if not yet graduated)
