Polokwane Local Municipality, in partnership with the National Treasury, is offering a three-year fixed-term contract opportunity for unemployed graduates. This programme is specifically within the Energy Services directorate for the position of Electrical Engineer. Eligible candidates must possess a B-Tech in Electrical Engineering/Electronics or a BSc in Electrical Engineering. Key requirements include being an unemployed South African citizen under the age of 35, residing within the municipality’s jurisdiction, and possessing the necessary qualifications for professional registration. Applications must be hand-delivered with a completed municipal application form, a detailed CV, and certified copies of qualifications by 31 March 2025.

Requirements

  • Applicant must be unemployed
  • A valid driver’s license will be an added advantage.
  • Must be a South African citizen in possession of the valid South African Identity document and falling within the jurisdiction of Polokwane Local Municipality.
  • Must be under the age of 35.
  • Academic qualification must be in line with the professional registration requirements of the respective statutory councils.
  • Stamped original proof of residence (Letter from Traditional Local Authority or Municipal utility bill).
