About the Role
As a Payroll Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in payroll processing and administration. This opportunity offers practical exposure to Siemens’ payroll operations and HR systems, helping to build your career in financial services and human resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with payroll transactions: time sheets, direct deposits, bonuses, allowances, pensions, and benefits
- Support data entry and payroll processing using relevant systems (e.g. PaySpace, Workday)
- Respond to routine payroll-related inquiries from employees
- Maintain accurate employee records and assist with data reconciliation
- Provide general administrative support within the payroll team
- Participate in ad hoc projects and assist with compliance and reporting
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant qualification in Payroll or equivalent
- At least 1–2 years of payroll experience (end-to-end)
- Experience with PaySpace and/or Workday (advantageous)
- Advanced Excel skills (essential)
- Knowledge of BCEA / MEIBC and Tax Legislation
- Familiarity with payroll reconciliations
- Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle required
